Why We Built This Site
The hard part of a warrant question is not the paperwork. It is finding out which office owns the record. A judge in the 79th District Court or the 51st Circuit Court issues the order, and the clerk of that court keeps the file. The Mason County Sheriff serves it, and the Friend of the Court runs its own enforcement process for support cases. None of those offices publishes a combined list, and no public statewide warrant database exists in Michigan.
That setup makes it easy to check one office, see nothing, and assume the question is settled. It also makes it easy to ask a city counter about a court case, because Ludington and Scottville have no municipal courts and their payment pages cover parking, taxes, and water. We put the contact details, the search routes, and the request steps side by side so a reader can begin in the right place and know what each office can actually confirm.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant checks: how a warrant check runs through the public case index, the ticket search, and the issuing clerk
- Open orders: what an active warrant search can and cannot show in a county with no sheriff roster
- Missed dates: how a bench warrant lookup works after a missed appearance, and which court holds the case
- New charges: how an arrest warrant lookup fits a probable-cause case, from the complaint to arraignment
- Traffic and city cases: how traffic warrants and city ordinance matters end up at the 79th District Court
- Resolution: the questions to ask about a voluntary appearance, bond, a show-cause hearing, or a motion to recall
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no tie to any Michigan court, the Mason County Sheriff, or any state agency. The limits are real:
- We cannot run an official check or say whether a warrant exists for anyone.
- We cannot recall, quash, satisfy, or remove a warrant.
- We cannot post bond or accept payment toward any case.
- We cannot schedule a hearing, an appearance, or a surrender.
- We cannot give legal advice about how a warrant applies to a person.
- We cannot promise that every phone number, hour, or fee listed here is current at this moment.
Only the court that issued a warrant, or the sheriff's office that serves it, can confirm whether an order is open or has been cleared. We can point to the right counter, and the answer has to come from there.
Search Partners
Some pages carry search boxes that outside companies operate. Those providers set their own prices and run their own services, and this site may earn a referral fee when a visitor signs up for a paid tool. That revenue keeps the reference pages free to read. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain, and a partner result is not an official court record.
